Born in Tokyo in 1979. Graduated from the Graduate School of Tokyo Zokei University with a major in sculpture. Using the theme “Memories of the Earth,” the artist creates artworks through a unique technique that involves digging into the ground, casting a cross-section, and then inverting and installing it. The artist seeks to visualize how the activities of humans and animals are etched into the land as invisible memories.
