Kisarazu City is a port town located in west-central Chiba Prefecture, facing Tokyo Bay. Thanks to the Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line, it offers excellent access to the Greater Tokyo Area and is developing as a region where nature and urban functions coexist in harmony. It has long been known as a production center for nori seaweed and clams and is blessed with an abundance of fresh seafood. Boasting a rich natural environment, including the Banzu Tidal Flat, it attracts many visitors as a hub for tourism and leisure. Furthermore, having flourished as a port town for centuries, the city’s deeply rooted culture and history remain vibrant to this day. In recent years, the development of large-scale commercial facilities and lodging establishments has progressed, making it a popular tourist destination near the Greater Tokyo Area while also attracting corporate expansion and the concentration of logistics hubs. This area includes artworks at Kisarazu Station and Shiohama Park. Kisarazu Station serves as the gateway to the Boso Peninsula and is a bustling hub of activity. Since the opening of the Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line, access to central Tokyo has improved, making the station the regional center that attracts many tourists.Inside the station, a street piano decorated as an artwork has been installed to foster interaction among people through free-form performances. At Shiohama Park, within walking distance of the station, visitors can enjoy scenery unique to Kisarazu, such as ships sailing across Tokyo Bay, smokestacks in the industrial zone, and cranes. Two artworks are displayed amidst the seaside landscape, which takes on different moods between day and night.

Fukuta Area

Located in the northeastern part of Kisarazu City, this area is rich in satoyama landscapes and retains strong traces of the region’s history and culture.The area is dotted with diverse attractions, including the Manyo Trail—where ancient poems are still passed down—the glamping facility “ETOWA KISARAZU,” which utilizes a former school building; Maruta Station, which showcases the scenery of a local railway line; and the Tomita Community Center, a hub for local interaction.In recent years, efforts to utilize underused facilities and develop new tourist destinations have progressed, leading to initiatives that make the most of local resources. In this area, visitors can enjoy artworks that highlight the unique character of each location.

Spanning a vast 30-hectare site, this is a place where agriculture, food, art, and nature come together as a single, interconnected cycle. Food produced through farming and dairy operations, art nestled within nature, and lodging facilities—these diverse activities are all interconnected and thrive within the grounds.Since its opening in 2019, new facilities and artworks have been added, and the landscape continues to evolve little by little.
