Born in Tochigi Prefecture in 1972. He creates mechanical sculptures and installations using electricity, motors, and other components, stripping his artworks of any specific meaning or purpose. By expanding simple motions and mysterious phenomena into large-scale installations, he challenges viewers’ expectations and established values while injecting a touch of humor.His representative artworks include “The Spinning Crocodile,” “The Retreating Bear,” and “The Mountain That Climbs.” He has exhibited his artwork both domestically and internationally, including a solo exhibition titled “The Spinning Crocodile” held at the National Art Center, Tokyo, in 2022.
