Born in Osaka in 1966. He was born on the anniversary of Alberto Giacometti’s death (January 11, 1966).He completed his graduate studies at Hiroshima University. Inspired by traces of cultures that vanished suddenly—such as the ruins of Pompeii in Italy—he continues to create art centered on the theme of “contemporary society as seen from 2,000 years in the future (the 41st century).”By using painting techniques to transform everyday objects into “archaeological finds (fossils),” he offers a bird’s-eye view of the present from the future, thereby exposing various latent issues within society.
