Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1989. From 2015, while teaching at the Vadodara Design Academy in India, he led the workshop “In-Field Studio”. In 2016, he joined “Kan-Ran-Sha,” an indigo-dye collective group in Otama Village, Fukushima Prefecture. As the principal of Korogaro Association / Kengo Sato Architecture Office, he maintains multiple bases across “non-urban” regions, including Otama Village (Fukushima) and Ninomiya Town (Kanagawa). His multidisciplinary work spans architecture, furniture making, art production, and self-building.
