Born in Nara in 1982 and based in Tokyo. She completed the doctoral program at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, earning a Ph.D. in Fine Arts. After serving as a Program Fellow of the Agency for Cultural Affairs in Kenya and as an associate professor at Nara Prefectural University, she is currently a professor in the Department of Intermedia Art, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. She develops projects in Japan and abroad focusing on the relationship between dress and communication. Her participation includes the Benin Biennale, Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale, Aichi Triennale, Tokyo Biennale, study: Osaka Kansai International Art Festival, and Chiba International Art Festival. Her books include Sōi wa Naibuha Suru and Bijutsu wa Kyōiku.
