Born in Kagawa Prefecture in 1977, he completed the graduate program at Tokyo Zokei University in 2002. Using traces of local history and the land as starting points, he researches and collects materials such as soil, sand, and old tools found on site, transforming them into works incorporating painting, video, light, sound, and space. He expresses the accumulated time and human activities of a place while making use of the characteristics and scale of exhibition spaces. He also participates in art festivals and projects across Japan, as well as research, planning, collaborative projects with artists and residents, and art direction focused on local culture and the environment.
