Born in Chiba Prefecture in 1980. He graduated from the Department of Painting (Japanese Painting) at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, in 2005, and completed the Master’s program in Japanese Painting at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, in 2007.Building on traditional Japanese painting techniques, he creates unique artworks that superimpose motifs derived from ukiyo-e—such as yokai, skulls, and kappa—onto contemporary urban landscapes.Using ink, mineral pigments, and water-soluble pigments, she depicts a worldview where reality and the supernatural intertwine, exploring themes of “borders” and “liminal states.” She has held solo exhibitions such as “Liminal State” (2016) and has participated in events such as “Wano Akari × Hyakudan Kaidan.”
