An architect born in Hokkaido in 1971. After graduating from the Department of Architecture at the University of Tokyo, he founded the Fujimoto Sou Architects in 2000. He has won numerous first prizes in international design competitions in Europe and serves as the design producer for the 2025 Osaka-Kansai World Expo venues.His major artworks include *L’Arbre Blanc*, *House of Music*, *Shirai-ya Hotel*, and the *Serpentine Pavilion 2013*.
