Born in 1979. Since 2008, he has been working as a roasted sweet potato artisan at “Yakiimo Biyori,” a business he founded, dedicated to preserving the tradition of “yakiimo”—a cherished part of Japan’s culinary heritage.Since 2019, he has been working as a carpenter, building homes using traditional timber-frame construction, hand-hewn wood, and earthen walls. Through his work in homebuilding, he reflects on ways of living that are in harmony with the local climate and natural environment.
