A water balloon is a small structure designed to temporarily hold water—a formless substance—in a single shape. By incorporating water balloons into a wire mesh wall, I create a landscape unique to that specific location, born from the interplay of water, light, gravity, and the surrounding environment. In this installation, I place water—which will eventually lose its form—beside stones that have taken a long time to form, have been shaped, and will endure. The water balloons reflect the sky, the stones, and the surrounding scenery; their colors, shadows, and transparency shift with the light of sunny, cloudy, and rainy days, as well as the light of morning and evening. Though it is the same artwork, it reveals different expressions depending on the time of day and the weather.By incorporating stones, water, and even the light and time flowing around them as integral parts of the artwork, the exhibition aims to allow visitors to encounter the ever-changing expressions of the artwork within their own unique moments.
