Sports Day for Onigiri! Held for the first time in Kisarazu!

Sports Day for Onigiri! is a Sports Day for Onigiri!
This event has been held continuously in Ichihara City since “Ichihara Art x Mix” in 2014.
This time, for the first time, it was held at Tomiraida Junior High School ground in Kisarazu City, and a total of 124 people participated!
First, the participants marched through an archway decorated with blueberries, a specialty of Kisarazu City.
The event started with a bread-eating contest, which was specially sponsored by Yamazaki Baking Company, followed by a variety of competitions, including the standard field day tug-of-war and a new competition called “Grabbing a Tanuki’s Tail,” named after the “tanuki,” or raccoon dog, which is closely associated with Kisarazu.
Finally, adults and children enjoyed rolling a large rice ball together.
The scores were very close, but the red team won the overall score!
They were awarded a special onigiri trophy.
Afterwards, everyone enjoyed eating rice balls and side dishes made with local ingredients.
Although it rained during the event, the Venues were filled with the enthusiasm of the participants and the event was a great success.
In the questionnaire after the event, many participants answered, “It was a lot of fun! I want to participate again! I want to participate again!
