Omi Daisuke

Born in Kagawa Prefecture in 1992. In 2016, he completed the Master’s program at the Graduate School of Arts, Hiroshima City University. Focusing primarily on wood sculpture, he brings his own imaginative visions—rooted in folk beliefs involving gods and supernatural beings—to life through his work; in recent years, he has been creating sculptures depicting insects.Major exhibitions include “Sando Peninsula Art Project 2014–2021” (Kagawa), the 2018 “Hiroshima City University Sculpture Department Faculty Exhibition: [The Outline of Sculpture]” (Hiroshima), the 2017 “Hiroshima–Tsushima” Exhibition (Hiroshima), and the 2016 “Setouchi International Art Festival 2016” (Kagawa).
