Oka Hiromi

Born in 1976. While enrolled in the graduate program at Kyoto University of Art and Design, she established the dyeing studio “Kokyuu.” In 2004, she completed her master’s degree in Artistic Expression at the same university. She has exhibited numerous artworks both in Japan and abroad, including installations and two-dimensional artworks that utilize dyeing and weaving techniques. She also conducts research on natural dyes, such as indigo. In addition, she holds dyeing and weaving workshops throughout Japan.
