Born in Chiba Prefecture in 1974. Completed the doctoral program at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. Resided in China as an overseas trainee for the Agency for Cultural Affairs, where he engaged in creative activities and research. He has developed artworks, performances, and art projects that foster dialogue between places and people, both in Japan and abroad.Centering her practice on bridging local culture and the arts, she is also engaged in international exchange, education, and research, pursuing interdisciplinary activities. She is a professor in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Tokyo University of the Arts and the Executive Director of ARS TSUKIDE.
