Using floral-patterned blankets—which became popular in postwar Japan in their own unique way—as her primary medium, she creates three-dimensional artworks and installations. By repurposing everyday household items for different uses or contexts, she produces unique artworks where the ordinary and the extraordinary intersect. In 2015, she received the Special Prize at the 18th Taro Okamoto Prize for Contemporary Art for “Jingūji Miyagata Hachidō-zukuri,” and in 2016, she won the SICF17 Grand Prix for “Flower Field.”Major exhibitions include “Rokko Meets Art: Art Walk 2019,” “BIWAKO Biennale 2022,” “Roppongi Art Night 2023,” and a solo exhibition at the Saitama Prefectural Museum of Modern Art.
