Born in Tokyo in 1981. Through works such as *Mud Paintings*—created using soil and water collected from the locations where he conducts his artist-in-residence projects—and *White Lines Turned into Plants*, created by burning white road marking tape on asphalt roads with a blowtorch, and artworks that incorporate deer blood collected in collaboration with a hunter—all of which explore the essence of painterly expression through a free-spirited approach that flexibly responds to the environment.
