Other art festivals are familiar with nicknames that give a sense of local character.

Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale,  “Kohebi-tai

In Echigo-Tsumari, the snake is considered to be a sacred creature and a guardian deity that brings good luck. The symbol of the six snakes is a symbol of “growing up together” by comparing their growth through molting to the growth of the Kohebi troop. The necklace mark of six snakes is also a reference to the six municipalities (Tokamachi City, Matsudai Town, Matsunoyama Town, Kawanishi Town, Nakasato Village, and Tsunan Town) that were in existence when the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale was held, which have merged and are cooperating to move forward together. Setouchi Triennale, “Koebi-tai”

In the Seto Inland Sea, there are many small shrimps swimming vigorously. Because they can be caught in abundance, shrimp dishes are very popular on the tables of households along the Seto Inland Sea coast and in taverns. The name of the island was chosen in the hope that, like the shrimp, they will be loved by everyone and fly around the islands cheerfully and cheerfully.
